hi,
looking to set up my first home studio. Just need a few inputs (4 at most i think) and a midi for my keyboard. Just wanting to know is there an entry level simplistic mixer i can buy to get me off the ground?

there may be another post like this already, as i am new, just direct me in yonder direction (:

many thanks guys

When I am working in the IT field and someone comes to me with a request for a specific something, I always ask, "What are you trying to accomplish?"

May I respectfully suggest you peruse the various "noobie" posts on the board to help you determine what you actually need, then look for recommendations as to brand, features, etc...

go for behringer, they cant be touched for the quality-pricerange

try & find used !

depending on your location, shop through local internet classifieds/ ask around to see what used equipment is available to you...

pick up a mixer thats built from real metal off some major dude from his past-days, take it home, and find out that it's a killer piece of equipment (do your research, right...)

Find an old soundcraft...the new ones are as affordable as Mackies but sound better...used ones go for less obviously.
