Whats up everyone,
So I just got my ART MPA Gold and have some tubes on the way. Could someone please give me a good description of how to change the tubes in this unit properly? I opened it up and there is like a metal bracket over the tubes with a spring inside. Do I just take this off and I'll be able to take the stock ones out and replace? Thanks

Yup you pretty much got it down, pretty soon you'll be stylen.
What did you get for replacements ?

I got a mullard reissue and an electro harmonix tube. Both low end but Im on a budget and I hear anything better than the stock tubes. Anybody used these tubes that has an opinion on them?

Don't touch the new tubes with your bare hands. The oils from your fingers can decrease the longevity of the tubes. Same with your headlights on your car if you're replacing them :). Other than that, as far as I know, it should be smooth sailing.

Well do hang on to the original and do some A/B comparison who know which one you'll like.

Be sure and tap the tubes lightly with a small ball peen hammer to seat them in place.

kidding...:laughings:

Congrats dude. :D
