Is there a way for me to change the sample rate of a session ive already created in pro tools at a 96 sample rate down to 44.1. Is there a way to do this without creating a new session and importing all the audio files I have into the new 44.1 sample rate session.

Just make a new session at 44.1.

Then in that session go to "import session data".

In that menu choose your old 96k session and hit "open".

Then above the tracks section hit SRC (sample rate conversion)

And then highlight all the tracks as "New Track"

Then hit ok.

All of your tracks wil have been converted and each track will still have its volume and plugs intact, no worries.

Man you just saved me so much time!!!! Worked like a charm. Thank you

thank you very much also. I really thought i had screwed it up. I have a better I/O i keep at the practice space and thought it would be a good idea to record at 96k, but only have an MBOX at home... somehow i accepted that the mbox does not accept a sample rate of 96k blah blah etc... and it was playing very slow and i couldnt undo it...

thanks to you, i dont have to wait till next week to work on this!

You might have to wait longer for a reply tho. It been 6 years since these guys posted this. Info is still good though. :)

Massive thanks :)
