So I have been having problems with recording and with some help from people on here I found out I was recording at the wronge sample rate for my new sound card on my new computer. The problem I now have is that some of my material was recorded on my old computer at 42k sample rate and my new sound card is 48k so I would like to change my old recording up to 48k, is this possible? If so any help would be very appriciated. I am using vegas audio for the recording but I also have sound forge. Thanks again.

Sound Forge can do the sample rate conversion.

Open a track with SF.
Navigate to File > Properties > Format tab .... set the SR to 48kHz click Apply and OK.
Now go to File and select Save.

All done.

r8brain will also do this.
