Yes, CEP has its own compressor which lies in Amplify > Dynamics Processing .
To use the Noise Reduction tool simply take a little sample of the noise/hum/hiss you are getting, open up Noise Reduction and click "Get Profile From Selection" and play around with the settings till something starts sounding right. I recommend using an FFT Size of 4096.
