Hello N-track users:

I am thinking about using my celeron 566 computer for audio tracks. If I install a second 7200rpm drive and bump the ram up to at least 128, will I get good results? I already have a Korg d16, so it won't be worth it to me unless I can get more than 16 tracks from the computer setup.

Secondly, I need 8 inputs to record drums. Is n-track compatible with cards like the Delta1010, MOTU 2408, or seasound?

Lastly, my d16 will sync using MTC or MMC. Can I sync up with n-tracks and transfer tracks, two at a time, from the d16 to the computer via the d16's digital stereo out? Assuming, of course that my soundcard will have digital ins and midi capability.

Thanks for your help. This sounds like my solution, but it just seems too good to be true.

The answer to your first question is a definite yes.

The answer to your second question is yes.

The answer to your third question is, it should.

:)

It's really not too good to be true, and even if it is, you're only out 50 bucks :)

Your brevity is refreshing in the face of those (like me) who ramble endlessly without even answereing the inital question. So, the only thing I have to say is.....thanks!
