One can make more money at burger king. Hell, one can make more money finding pennies on the street. It's all a game of numbers: once you hit a certain number, sales probably quadruple. If you are concerned with making $120 instead of $100, so be it. I dont know many serious musicians whose goal it is to sell 12 records. Inclusion in any kind of Charts, or other things like ASCAP/BMI is very difficult to get if you are mailing CDs out of your house.

It doesn't matter to me who is watching, it may to you and if that's what you want, then do it. I'm not going to stop you. I stated my opinion, whether you like it or not.

I stated my opinion and you can't grasp that. All of you are wasting your time telling me stuff I already know. Personally, I can't stand CD Baby. The owner is an idiot and the site reflects that. Now, I could have said that in my first post, but I didn't because for some of you CD Baby works.

As for my popularity, I could care less. None of them sign them so it just shows the cowards they are. I hope their music doesn't reflect that.

Why ARE you here???? :confused: You dont seem to add ANYTHING except negativity and insults, your red chicklets attest to that. If you are indeed a promo man, you are indeed the worst one I have come across in my 41 years. You can't even promote yourself enough to stay in the green chicklets. I am assuming JoeBannon is an alias, if I was a "customer" of yours I would drop you in two seconds. In the 6 years I have been here, you are, without a doubt, THE most negative soul I have ran across. I would almost pity you if you werent such a jackass, it must be tough going through life like that.

Why would I want to promote myself? All the insults come after people insult me. I say I don't like CD Baby, people call me stupid, then I call them stupid. If you don't want people to be negative, don't bring it out of them. The difference between me and others is that I'll insult you right back. It's like the sign says... "we reserve the right to refuse service".
 
BTW, I'm here to learn and help. More to learn since I just started using Cubase. From time to time I'll venture to the other forums here.

is it just me or does every thread that Joe Bannon hops on gets hopelessly sidetracked and and it turns into a defensive yelling match with everyone?

Joe, just let stuff go man. we're all here to learn and possibly share some ideas now and then. you don't need to get all up in arms about every little thing someone posts. it ends up being page after page of bickering, when all i want to do is learn about about (or add to) the topic at hand.

Nothing personal, but i have yet to see any useful info out of anything you've posted. just a lot of..."I'm right! you guys are wrong!" shit.

That's not helping anyone.

Speaking of which...why do you dislike CD Baby so much. if you have a beef with them, this is the place to do it. simply saying CD Baby sucks and i hate the owner, but unless you back it up, we have no reason to take you seriously.
