Hi all-

I've read a lot of docs, but still am unsure what foramt a cd track is. I'm planning on burning a bunch of mp3s to an audio disc, and think that if I convert the mp3 to wav format and plop them on a CDR, I'll have a nice cd to listen to in the car...

ANy thoughts?

thanks

P.S. I'm in a win98 environment using a Memorex 4X2X24 CDRW.

An audio CD, when viewed in WIndows Explorer
shows an extension of .cda for these files.
They use the same sample rate and sample size
as 44.1KHz, 16 bit .wav files, but it is a different format. You might want to check first and see if your car CD player can recognize CDRs. Many can't. More fun would be to write a data CD with just .mp3 files. These disks can only be played in a computer, but at 128Kbps the disks hold 11.5 hours of sound.
