I have been experimenting with my new burner and would like to know if anyone knows how much time needs to be left on a CD-R for the TOC (table of content)? I've been using 74 min/650mb Disc.
I'm pretty sure that the space for the TOC is reserved in the format definition beyond the
74 minute restriction on a standard CDR.
Anybody here run into any problems on that score? I've burned them right to the hilt space wise (650 MB) but not track wise (99 tracks) and never had any problems. My first guess would be to design a 99 track- 74 minute playlist. It would only require careful adjustment of the size of the last file. Anybody wanna try this and get back to me?
Hi B.V. & Doc,
You are correct. The TOC is pre configured in the burner. Both in the stand alones and computer based. I have both an RW5000 and 1 in my computer. I have used both to record up to 73 & 1/2 minutes of music with no trouble. But I have not done the 99 track thing yet. But I might try it in a couple of months just for the sake of doing it.
