Hey Guys,

I'm about to release a dance compilation but I'm trying to find a company that will duplicate (replicate) short runs on at an affordable price and NOT use cheap Cdr's with stick on labels.

Can anyone help.

You're going to get CD-R's with anything under 500 pieces. Most are only 1000 and over.

However, if you don't mind CD-R's (make SURE it's RedBook compatible before you send it in - most short-runners don't check!) try www.diskfaktory.com

They're the best and least expensive short-runners I've used. They disc printing is full color THERMAL print. Not a label, and better that any silk process. Truly bad-ass stuff, cheap.

Have used Disk Faktory a couple of times and had great luck. Nice guys with really good customer service.

Cool, what i'm concerned about is their cdr's. Do they use Silver on Silver? I heard that Diamond Cd's are the best when it comes to CDr's. I just want the cd to look as close as the real thing and be playable in most cd players.

Most CD-R's are made in one of only two factories in the world. The Japanese discs are normally considered the best. Most replicators I know of (even low budget reps) use good media. It's not worth it not to.

Your biggest concern should be supplying a solid production master with the lowest C1 error rate possible. If you can't check for errors, have someone do it for you. OR invest in a Plextor PlexWriter Premium drive. It comes packaged with PlexTools Professional (which only works on two different drives that I know of), which allows you to scan any disc for C1 & C2 errors.

One C2 error - Just one - and the disc goes into the trash. Don't risk it.

Oh yeah - From what I recall, DiskFaktory uses SLVR/SLVR discs also.
