So heres the Idea:
am building a mask, and inside it Ill have a CB radio mic built in.
I cannot for the life of me find a CB mic on Amazon for the price range am looking for , for this project (don't want to spend a lot on first project).

so I need it to be 1/4 correct? but there are pretty much none...its either 3 pin or 4 pin....
I even looked for a convertor , also...found nothing.

not only that, am trying to install a always on/off switch so that the button on the CB mic wont have to be pushed down..

sorry if this is simple and am just being an Idiot ...but any help, suggestions or pointers in the right direction would be great!!

I can't say that I really remember this correctly, but the 3 and 4 wire mics are two wires for the Mic and the third (and fourth) are for the switch. If you are handy with a soldering iron, it should be pretty easy to wire it to a 1/4 plug. The switch in the Mic worked a relay in the radio, it didn't actually turn the Mic on and off. The Mic was always on, the switch just told the radio to transmit.

Different brands of CB had different wiring schemes. You'll have to look up the pinout for your particular mic. It wouldn't be hard to put a 1/4" end on it but it would be better to scrounge a transformer from some other mic and make it XLR output.

Lets see a mock up of the mask you have in mind, Lovemehate.
