Was searching for akai/roberts models list/info (what ever happen to that thread
) , and ran into couple pretty cool collection/sites about cassette decks:

btw, the best (sort of) resource on finding out which akai is which roberts
that I could find is http://reel2reeltexas.com/index.html, at least they 've got some akai(s) and roberts(s) there, so you can sort some models out.
Go to http://reel2reeltexas.com/vinList.html and then click on 'letter' "A" and then "R".
