Carvin mic's

Hi I am new here and new to building a home studio. I have been looking into a lot of equipment. I for a while anyway will be concentrating on recording drums. Are the carvin mic's a good starting point ? I am open to options. Thanks.

The mic's in general. The mic package would be a good start. I have a fairly large double bass kit so I would need more than the kit.

My suggestion would be to piece together tried and true microphones to achieve excellence.

Ok took your advice. I will start with audix d6 for my kicks. I'm not sure about the rest yet. I will order my interface next. I am lookin at the firestudio to start. I will run GarageBand for a short time then I will go Logic Pro.

Tascam US1800 ... It should have enough inputs to record all of your drums.

Wouldn't a fire wire be best ?
