I'm using Soundforge 6 and when i bring a 48,000 24 bit file from Sonar over to it it says my Audiophile wont support it. I've chosen it as my playback device. THe wierd thing is, if i choose my SB Audigy it will play it even though it doest support it. What the?

ANyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

Ok..i think it has something to do with Soundforge not using WDM drivers...anyone know how to make it use them?

Must be something else.

I've had that issue with older versions of SF and Vegas but both Vegas 3 and SF 6 have always supported 24/96 (or 24/48 or 24/44.1) without regard to what driver (ASIO or WDM) was used to create the .wav file.

I agree with, drstawl.

I don't have a problem importing the same format as you with SF 6.

Do you have Try To Open 24 bit check marked?

OPTIONS>PREFERENCES>WAVE>TRY TO OPEN 24 BIT

spin

Yeah i really dont get it. It states " The M-audio Delta Multichannel playback device not support one or more of the format parimeters(Sample rate, number of channels etc)

I'll try uninstall or something but i dont see whats happening?

Go to the M-Audio website to upgrade your drivers to WDM

Also, you need to change your SF6 settings.................

OPTIONS>PREFERENCES>WAVE tab>PLAYBACK>then choose the WDM driver

AND checkmark the box labeled "TRY TO OPEN 24BIT".

Peace...

spin
