I buy all of my parts from a local store here in my town. They don't really have a "store front". They do mostly huge network sales and installs for corporations, but they will take walk in small sales as well. I have never had to price match because they have always been about the same price or lower than most anything I have ever found on line. They are also the most knowledgable PC people I have run into. Since I started shopping there I have stopped paying attention to what bransds and technology is on the market because I just plain trust these guys. I gotta go find my receipt from three weeks ago so I can double check the exact price. I know I got a 680 watt power supply, MSI Nforce 4 motherboard (for AMD64's, 939 cpu) with on board Raid 0,1,0+1, 5 and 10 and 4 SATA slots and 4 SATA 1/2 slots, an AMD xp3000+, 512 megs of CL2 RAM, a PCI-x vid card, and 2 Seagate 200 gig SATA drives for about $900. I am pretty sure the drives were about $120 a piece, but I need to check to verify

I haven't found my receipt yet, but Newegg has them for that price (or at least really close).
On an off note, has anyone used SATA2 yet? Or tried an SATA DVD RW yet?

Funny how people get religious about their hard drive brands. I had an IBM die on me once and will never buy another, but I have had 100% reliability from my Maxtors and Seagates! I would buy a Seagate out of choice, but often Maxtors are cheaper and not every PC I build or upgrade is a DAW.

Oh man ... I chucked it away at the time. I have no idea what model number it was (or even exactly what size it was). Dammit!!
Thanks for the link though, it's good to know. Maybe they're less unreliable than they were, but I'm still wary of them and their Hitachi cousins.
