Is this because we argued over cars? And I know music is full of characters. but come on. That was a little much. I might be new to the forum but I've been around music and recording since I was 14 and have been in love with it ever since.

In all honesty I like this forum. I read up. I post when it can help and DON'T when I can't... I see no point in being a dick just to be a dick.

btw. I got 3 positive rep points for it so I guess not everyone thought it was pointless.

As far as this thread goes...

I'm out

You're quickly becoming the King of misquotes. I never once stated it was pointless and I also admitted we're just as guilty as you.

The pointless thing was more of a general comment. I try not to argue just to argue... This thread is a little overcooked though.

OUT FOR REAL...

For real? Or is there someway I can get you back into the thread of satan.

I really have nothing to say, I just want to be a part of the worst thread ever too!

:D

Are we having fun yet?

This isn't a place for fun, it's a place for learning about Home Recording. Which means shitty ass soundblaster and hacked Cubase recording. Where everyone needs a more "studio" sound.

Hey that sounds good. "HomeRecording.com, where everyone needs a more studio sound."

I haven't read this WHOLE thread, but isn't this a HOME RECORDING site!?!

Why the blasting and flaming when some newbie is asking for HOME RECORDING information. No one needs to hear "use a fucking studio." You people never cease to amaze me in regasrds to the way newbies are often treated on this HOME RECORDING board.

I'm just sayin' . . .

You really need to read the thread. It is all explained and settled. At least it was until you started the shit-wheel spinning again. Thanks for your uniformed comments.

Ah yes ...... HR ...... such a happy place!
:D:D:D

I'll weigh in briefly ..... someone asked why newbies had to be spoonfed the same shit over and over? It's because they're new newbies. Folks who haven't been here before. No one has to answer the same questions over and over ...... just quit answering them altogether ....... someone else will take up the slack.

Yes ..... when a newb tells you what he knows it's a little irritating ..... but it's really just part of being a newb.
And if you want new people totrash and destroy ...... you need to draw them in a little further. If you run them off with their first question, then you won't get the chance to really bring them down over something deeper and more important.
You have to pace yourself when tearing down newbs or else all you'll ever get is the easy target of an unsuspecting newb and what's the challenge in that?
The really satisfying destruction is when you get someone feeling like they know a little bit and they're your friend and then you slam them to the ground and smash up their ego like the useless piece of trash it is.
I'm talking big game people ....... you don't shoot that lion cub ...... you let it grow to be a lion before you blow it's brains out ...... gotta raise 'em to tase 'em.

:D Haha! Why do I get the feeling you like to tell the kids they're going to Disneyland and then drive them to a burned out abandoned factory and tell them Disneyland must have burned down! :D

No, they're just greedy. It really can be done without any gear at all.

Recording via Osmosis.

You don't even have to play - just think about it and it will appear on a CD as if you spent $250K in a studio, and Andy Wallace mixed it. :D

I love how so many on this forum are so quick to stomp noobish people dawn. It's worse than any other forums I know.

Yes, of course a comment like "Try recording in a fucking studio" is a true statement. But why be so quick to give that comment to a person who has a legit question... with only 1 post to his name!
They spent ~10min registering here to learn something from the "pros".

Now, I'm not trying to spotlight chessrock... it seems to be the overall mentality around here.

I mean, how would you like it if you're trying to figure out how to take the transmission out of your car but you'r frusterated. You can't figure it out, is it technique? your tools? So you sign up for an automotive mechanic's web BBS seeking the advise of a master and you get an answer like "Try bringing it to a fucking dealership".
very good point, I was going to post about the same comment. Maybe we should all be a little nicer to newcommers. They are beginers and looking for help after all, are they not? I think this site is called " home recording" not "pro studio forum for everyone all to talking about all things we already know!" :(
