Cannot open FST/Connect

Hi. I have the Alesis AdatHD24 and it's Fireport 1394

I am following the instructions to move my recording to my computer, via the Fireport.

I have installed the 1.05 version of FST/Connect, on an almost brand new computer.

Installation was successful, however, when I try to open the application, I get an error, and I cannot open. It automatically closes the app, and there are no alternative options.

Again, the PC is nearly brand new, and I am fairly confidant that there are no viruses or malware. Although googling the error code, I find that it MUST be a virus.

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application

Yikes. 40 views, no replies. Since this post, I have instaled on another computer. (My laptop.)

Same problem, same code.

I have a hard time believing that I am the only one this is happening to, TWICE.

Any suggestions? I kinda made a commitment to some clients that I could ge them a copy of a show we just did. But I ONLY have it recorded on the Adat. I really need to get it onto a computer.

any suggestions as to a better place I can look for help?

I just created a brand new system running running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and I just keep hitting a brick wall. Alesis response is we don't support Windows 7 " :mad:, so I've tried just about everything to get this to work. I'm almost to the point of making this a dual booting system with Windows Vista or XP just so we can get the files from the FirePort drive. So I figured I'd look around the internet and see if I can find someone, somewhere that has found an answer to this issue.
