Damn dog I can't remember the their name or the song's name. I think there's a girl in the group. It might even be her group. The song I'm hearing in my head is a song most people would categorize as jazz, but it has a very bluesy feel. It's an instrumental, and it has a guitar and a sax that take turns mimicking each other. Does any of that sound like your song? I could very well be wrong because its just a guess. Little guitar samples are hard to call.

Good Try BUt.....................

Sorry buddy you are incorrect. But good try though. I will give everyone a few "one word" hints.

Rock
70's
animal

Give some more guesses everyone.

Hey Buddy C. what did think of the beat anyway???

What kind of connection do you have?

What kind of internet connection do you have? If you have a 56K modem connection. Try playing the beat with the LO FI PLay Selection.

the beat hits quite hard. It falls more into the simple genre that I think east coasters love.

I could not tell where the sample came from though.

Sounds like bits of the guitar riff from Hotel California the Eagles, you can hear it on the chord change. What do I get for guessing correctly?

i have fiber optics..its faster than a T1...i pushed broadband and it said playing but its sitting at 0:00

MATT303!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again everyone

I really liked the track for the most part. I only have two small criticisms. One is that the beat seems like it loops slightly quick and one of the snares hits just a little early. Edit a few of your notes and it will be great. Do you use the ASR-X? The beat sounds like it was sequenced on it Also, this is only my opinion, but the little sample that you hit five or six times in the second bar of the main loop just doesn't hit me right. It sounds slightly cheesy and too quick. That's not a dis, believe me, I have went back over older tracks of mine and hear elements that sound real whack to me. It is very important to leave a track alone for a week or so then play it again to see if it immediately hits you. I'll tell you what I did like, though. I loved that deep bass breakdown and light rising sample that accompanies it. That felt real good to the senses. I also dug the way you ended the song. If you tighten up the track a bit you'll have a real solid hip-hop effort.

nice track - like wut u did with sample - Scratching was kinda weak. but i'm just used to hearing Q - Xmen - Babu - ...

Well I am definatly not Q-bert

That version of the song you heard is just a rough draft. I still have to edit alot and then master it. I made that track in a day. I made it for fun. i will fix it up and it will blow you away. No doubt about that. Holla Back
