Can you guys classify our genre?

I'd actually agree with you on the indie rock thing and for the reason you said, too. Also, your music doesn't sound nearly as lo-fi as The White Stripes, so you can't be just pure-indie as written in the official guidelines for the genre. ;)
 
So what you are saying is that all of the new bands should choke on their own vomit,while blowing their brains out with a shotgun,inside of a crashing helicopter? Sounds good to me!

I forgot to add Van Halen in my list.

The 70's were the horrible formula disco years. The tail end of that period was dreadful.

All of a sudden Van Halen is there and takes music in a new direction.

Of course that all eventually lead to the hair band 80's, and there we were again. :D

Alright, Indie Rock it is...for now...

Until someone has a better explanation for why we should be a different genre.
 
Yeah I'd say Indie Rock. You guys don't really sound any different than any other college-aged rock crap. ;)

It's funny how mainstream indie is now.
 
sounds like LA teen angst ..

i say this as a brit who has lived punk in the 70,s and lapped up new wave in the 80,s ...enjoyed britpop through the 90,s :)

Hmm. I'm not "up" with those groups. Have any examples of bands or anything?
