Can The Squire Trem Bridge Be Installed on a Fende Strat?

Just another guy, really.
I've got a Squire Standard Strat, lefty, that I am selling. A guy wants it, and will be installing a Floyd Rose tremolo bridge in it right away- so he neither needs nor wants the "modern" (2-piviot screw) trem bridge. I might remove it before I sell him the guitar. I don't plan on owning another Squire Strat, as I now have a USA Standard Strat lefty, and I noticed that the Squire's pivot bolts are noticably wider-spaced than the Fender's but is there any chance the Squire bridge could be installed on a Fender Strat? I wouldn't remove the Fender bridge just to install the Squire, but I think it possible I might find myself in posession of another guitar that might use the Squire trem bridge- for instance, I once had a MIJ Strat copy that had a hard-tail bridge, so if that sort of guitar came my way again, I might put the trem bridge in/on it. Ahh, no, I won't- too much trouble. :o

But, I know SRV installed a lefty trem bridge on his guitars- is that a popular mod?

What I'm driving at is, does this bridge have much in the way of monetary value and/or desirability? Is it worth removing, or should I let him have it and let him go through the trouble of removing it?

Thanks.
