Try lowering your input volume a bit, you can always boost the signal after the recording has taken place. Sometimes you will hear a "pop" or "click" sound if the input signal is to hot and you are "clipping"

Also your laptop may not be up to par, if you can upgrade your Ram that is a cheap way to make your recording process run a little smoother. The hardrive speed is very important as well. The processing power of your laptop is extremely crucial as well. I'm not sure what kind of laptop your working with....and what i said above is only if you have an older laptop.

Check and see if your External Soundcard has the proper drivers........

When I started recording I would have this same problem.....it turned out that all I ended up needing to do was turn down the input level.

Good Luck

What kind of pop is it? Are you talking about plosives? If so you need a pop filter. You can make one yourself or buy one for about $30.00

And if a single pop filter isn't enough, they sell double filters that have two layers of fabric.

thank you all

But no one has welcome you here as yet .... Bon jour Dreamsociety :)
