Hi fellas,
i`d have a question:
I need to avoid the clipping while i`m recording a vocal track, but i dont have an analog compressor/limiter. I was wondering if a could use a plug in limiter in logic audio and get a good result..
Some people say that i can`t use a plug in while i`m tracking ..Why?

You would use a compressor or limiter to keep from clipping your soundcard/converter inputs. Running a plugin only effects the already recorded signal.

Since Cubase SX2 (and higher), you could use plug-ins on input. Presumably it's the same for Nuendo, since they both use the same engine.

Get outta here! Really? It never seemed to do anything but alter the monitored signal for me. Hmmmm. I like hardware better anyhow. :p
