Can I import templates?

In Reaper when I save off a template and go to open it it always starts a new project. There are times when I want to import the template into the project I'm currently working on. Is this possible somehow?

Right click in the track pane, and go to "Insert track from template". Then click the "Open template" option.

I wasn't clear here. I'm referring specifically to Project Templates. Can they be imported as multiple tracks into an existing project?

no, but you can save entire projects (minus the master) as track templates, which you can then use together
