Can I fix the drum tempo?

I recentlyish recorded a friend's band.
The drummer couldn't stay on the tempo. The other musicians had some problems as well, but it's most evident in the drums.
Is there any way to match the recording of drums to a specific tempo? I think I once saw a way to do this, but I can't seem to find it now.
I'm using FL Studio, but if Reaper can magically do this, I have it installed as well.

i know this is pretty straightforward in ableton...try asking in the reaper section of the forum, you may get more answers than in here?

you can fix the tempro problem by setting a loop for certain measures... try watching tutorials on youtube.

I know I can stretch the whole track, but the tempo isn't constant, so that doesn't exactly work here. I haven't found any warping, but I will continue to search.

I also have Ableton "Live Lite 7 M-Audio Enhanced Edition," but it's only the demo. When I bought my MobilePre, the seller gave me the disk, but not the key... Oh well. It seems to warp/fix it automatically, but I can't save it because it's the demo... Oh well again.

EDIT: Actually... After playing with Ableton more, I think I'm might give up on this and just hope we get a better track next time. Thank you both for your help.

Can the whole thing not be rerecorded but tell them beforehand to either get the timing right or play to a click or practice the songs until they're tight ?
I've tried to fix up wavering tempos and minor bits can be repaired {or patched up with percussion to make you all seem esoteric and deep !} but the best solution was to redo it, much as I hated having to do it. You sound like you've done this kind of thing before so for you to be asking for solutions suggests this may be beyond repair.

By the way, someone selling you a disk but not the key sounds, um, "contentious" (I'm being diplomatic ! ).

If the drummer is all over the place during recording, how is he at a live show?

I had been in a few bands that a member or two weren't up to par in the studio and we had to have sit in musicians play their parts.
Now this can be a real ego killer to some people but that is why there are studio musicians.

It's not like they're kicked out of the band (but if they are that bad....)
I know that band members are usually friends that have been together sense toilet training days and nothing is going to tear them apart, Hell they probably taught each other how to play music on each others instrument and it can be real hard to face the facts when obviously there is a member in the band holding the rest of the band back from progressing to the next level ~ in fact this is the theme to most every rock n roll movie ever made.

I know that this is not your band but maybe you could suggest in a nice diplomatic way to have someone else be on the recording as well.
This will be a sticky situation but it will help immensely.
