I have just got cubase vst and I cant seem to get audio to play back properly. midi is fine. The only way the audio will play is if i double click on the recorded/imported part and play it through there.
There is also an m by the track in the mute column. normaly mute is signified with a circle so i dont know what this is but this could be the problem. Can anyone help at all?

Try clicking on the m untill it disappears. Make sure the solo button (top left) is not lit. Move the recording to an other channel.
I hope this helps..

sorry. allready tried that. thanks any way. cany anyone else help?

I can't remember what the M means. Is the channel input activated/lit? If so, try deactivating it.

Sorry, that's all I can think of - I might have time to look at my setup this weekend if you're still down.

Cheers got rid of the m thing but still the only way i can hear it is by clicking on it

Make sure your channel on the mixer isn't muted - you can't tell from track view - and that the volume is up, and make sure your channel output is the mains and not a submix.
