Hi everyone, I setup a low cost home studio in my den which is already sound proof and small with some equipment I already had which is a Tascam porta02 MKII multitrack Recorder,Alesis SR-16 Drum machine, Yamaha PSR 170 keyboard, Pioneer CD burner, Sansui CD player, Kenwood Stereo Receiver, JVC tape deck, Pioneer double cassette deck, Dell computer with Cakewalk Sonar music software, Midiman 1x1 midi USB for (PC, Keyboard and Drum Machine) 1 Microphone Nady SCM900, 1 HeadPhones NadyQH60. I haven't been able to get this studio set up right with all this equipment and still something is missing, can any one help me, suggesting is welcome Thank you

it sounds like you got the equipment....but what exactly is the problem......You didn't really state whats botherin you with the setup...Are you not getting the performance out of the equipment you hoped? Let us know what it is you think is missing
 
You didn't mention whether the Dell had a soundcard or not...

Hi Crazy, I'm having problems with my midi set up, I brought a Midi man 1x1 I plugged usb cord to computer usb port from midi man 1x1 out midi is plugged in drum machine input output of drum machine midi is plugged into Keyboard input midi Keyboard output midi is plugged into midiman input midi. I 'm not getting any sound thru my stereo speakers my multitrack Mic1 is going out to sound card of pc mic2 is going out to drum machine multitrack is plugged to aux to the stereo reciever the sound is dorted at times. I a sample how I have everything set up:
JVC tape deck plugged in Tape2 of Kenwood receiver play/rec
Poineer double cassette tape deck plugged in Tape1 of kenwood receiver play/rec
Pioneer cd burner record is plugged into Play of the Sansui cd player and Play of cd burner is plugged into CD of Kenwood Receiver
Tascam multitrack recorder is plugged into Aux. of kenwood
Alesis drum machine main line is plugged to multitrack recorder track2 and midi to midiman and keyboard

Nah, I'm an enginerd that works with NASA and you're giving me WAY too much credit!!
 
You may need to reconfigure your inputs and outputs on the usb device. you also need a pre with 48v phantom power to run that mic.
