Calling Bruce .... and all other Cure fans......

Bruce, I want to start working on another Cure cover.
Possibly Lovesong, but I'm also liking the thought of Boys Don't Cry and Pictures of You. Want to work on it, whatever it is?
I think we could do something great if we get some more people involved. I will play whatever (guitar, bass, drums, keys.. whatever). If anyone else is interested, post.
Do it with mp3's instead of the mail I think if more then just us 2 are involved. I can set up some sort of a FTP that works this time.

Well, enough of my blabbing. Any other Cure fans, put in your vote on what song to cover. Pictures of You would be tough (it does clock in at over 7 minutes), but I'm up for a challenge.

I'm up for it - my personal pics would be Lovecats, Friday I'm In Love, Jumping Someone Else's Train, Boys Don't Cry, but I'm up for anything....

What instrument you up for Rats? 2 Votes for Boys Don't Cry. A Forest could be cool too, and it uses a drum loop in the original, so putting a live drummer in might be cool. Such a great group, it's hard to pick.

Why Can't I Be You might be tough. I dunno, you guys decide! I only did "Let's Go To Bed" cause I was listening to the MTV Unplugged and was just drawn to the lead line. There's nothing else that draws to me like that one did, so they are all just these awesome songs before me begging to be redone. I can't pick!

I figured nothing would get done if we didn't set a tune, so the tune is set. I'll start doing some scratch tracks, a click, maybe some rythym/lead guitars. I'll post when I have something done (later tonight or tommorow).

I can handle the vocals... bass or any guitars needed... the lead hook... whatever... I'm easy...
 
Here are some rough guitar tracks....

Solid 160 BPM. Very much recorded direct. When I do the finals, I'm gonna mic up a nice amp, and not use my PX2. But this is what I'll use to play along with. We need someone to volunteer their abilites at doing drums, I don't want to unless I have to.

Nah, no drum programming. If no LIVING drummer will play, I'll do it, but I'd prefer to have somone who's better then me, and has better equipment then me to do it.

Thats weird. Its working for me, and the server is up. It might have been down for like 5 minutes this morning, maybe you just caught it at a bad time. Try it again? If it doesn't work, try clicking on the link for my website (bottom of message), if that doesnt work, then the server is down.
