Cakewalk VST wrapper

If you are thinking about the cakewalk vst wrapper, it causes crashes in other programs... for me notably Cool Edit and Sound Forge when you go to cancel or stop the VST plug in. This did not happen with the latest version of the wrapper from FXpansion (although I understand that their final beta version did have this problem... it was the version ultimately sold to Cakewalk). Sooo, if you are thinking of this for programs other than Sonar etc., be careful. I understand that others have had this problem and have reported it to both FXpansion and now to Cakewalk (as I have).

Take Care

What version have you got?
Errr... the new Cakewalk Wrapper? Cakewalk Wrapper = fXpansion wrapper v4.3 ... ;)

I'm sorry (or glad for that matter) RJT, but I do not have problems with opening other programs. Not in SoundForge 6 anyway.

I've been using it in Sonar and Acid without problems on the whole. I've had problems with specific plugins, but not using it in different apps.

But, that reminds me. Anyone been using the CM/Ohmforce OhmMyGod Comb Filter with the new wrapper? Can you change the tempo from the default 120? I haven't been able to ever since I upgraded to the cakewalk version.

You cannot change it manually because it's automaticly sync'ed to project tempo. :)

Zone-ahead, you also need to make sure you d/load the update patch for OhMyGod as well;)

doesn't work with EXSP2  and thats my primary drum and bass program

its the Sampler that comes with logic but its also a VSTi...its fuckin great IMO well at least the samples they have for it...i might of named it wrong i think its EXSP24 maybe...something like that

Oh, yeah... I've heard it's good, but haven't tried it. And it doesen't work with the Cakewalk Wrapper, right? (I thought you were talking about the OhMyGod filter....)
