Are there any free plugins (that will work with my version of CW) out there that would be of any use? I like alot of the stuff that's already there, but I'd like some more options. Thanks in advance
 
It would help if we knew what your version of CW was. :confused: :confused:

There's lots of free plugins in either DX, DXi, VST and VSTi formats. Depending on what Cakewalk product you have, you can use some or all of them.
 
uh....it's in the title....but I am going to upgrade to V4.0XL

:D Yeah, I just noticed that. Sorry.

Version 4 handles everything, VST, VSTi, DX and DXi. I'm not sure about version 2.

Also, SIR reverb is a great free convultion reverb. http://www.knufinke.de/sir/index_en.html You will impulse files to go with it, and you can find a lot here: http://noisevault.com/

We can probably give you other recommendations if you let us know what you are interested in. Compressors, reverbs, instruments, de-essers, amp simulators, etc.

Most of the "real" good stuff will cost you, but there is some pretty decent free stuff out there (and a lot of junk).
