Café Innocenté ~ GZ's lyrics with GZ's music (March Challenge)

The Jan-Feb challenge was in two parts: first, write some lyrics on the theme of 'misunderstanding'; and second, write (and record) music with the lyrics that one of the other participants has written.

Following that, the challenge was then made that for March we should write our own music for these lyrics.

Commanda has already done so, and here I follow suit, with music now recorded with the lyrics of "Café Innocenté":

Thanks for the favourable comments!

It is, however, a good lesson on what not to do. I had a reasonable mix going. I decided to post it . . . but then I had second thoughts. It ebing late at night, I did some mixing tweaks using headphones, then re-rendered and uploaded it.

After having posted it, I had another listen through speakers and realised that the tweaks were unnecessary and resulted in a worse mix than I originally had.

Never mind . . . the gist of the song is intact.

The moral of the story is twofold: leave well enough alone, and don't commit to a final mix without checking through your monitors.
