Thanks for the insight. I hope some didn't think I was asking just to be a jackass. I've had an interest in CAD's mics since I got my first AMS catalog when I started playing guitar, about 12 years ago, and learned that CAD mics were made in Conneaut, Ohio. Conneaut is in Ashtabula county. I grew up in Ashtabula county (Ashtabula city, to be precise). My wife is from Conneaut. Her grandmother is a retired employee of Astatic, CAD's sister company. CAD always seems to be putting out products that are highly regarded both in terms of quality and price point, in addition to being original designs instead of a rebadged generic Chinese piece (excepting that GXL line or whatever its called). I try to learn as much as I can about them, but information on the Net is pretty scarce, and I'm sure people here have had close dealings with them, so I ask around. I'm interested because if buying a CAD mic gets me a quality product while at the same time puts money into the pockets of some hardworking people that are local to me, then I feel its absolutely worth my time and effort to support them. So, again, thanks for the insight. If you have more info about them to share, by all means go ahead.
