I've made my mind up that im going to by one of these but I'm not sure what to go with. I guess the question is to tube or not to tube? I will be using the mic mainly for male vocals and acoustic guitar. Any imput would be appriciated

thanks,

They are rather different mics, in design and sound. The M9 is smoother, particularly in the highs and upper mids, it's also has less color, although it is not colorless by any means. The Baby Bottle has some attitude.

I guess it would depend too on the styles of music you want to record.

For acoustic guitar and vocals, my vote would go to the CAD, FWIW.

Ive used both and I would always choose the M9 for acoustic and vox.

Personally I would prefer the Baby Bottle for those specific uses for a little more bite on the acoustic etc., but they're both really nice. M9 definitely being smoother as mentioned.

Both good choices anyhow in my experience.
