CAD M177 Power Supply?

Hi, I recently bought a CAD M117 condenser microphone and it says I need a 24-52V phantom power supply, delivering at least 8ma for proper operation.

However, I can only find 12-48V on ebay, this here: http://cgi.ebay.ca/NEW-Behringer-PS...346?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35adfc79f2

Will this still work? I'm new to this and I want to make sure before I buy it, thank you!

If you have a mixer or pre amp or just a converter/interface that has phantom power on them you will be all set.

Thanks for the quick reply, but I'm still a little bit lost. Pre amps have a power supply built in? So I just need to buy one of those or I still need the phantom power? And what is a converter/interface and what do you recommend I should do? Thanks again.

How are you to use this microphone for recording or live?

Recording. I have an XLR-USB cable for my computer.

That's not the way to go to get a good recording you'll need an interface and depending on how many channels you'll need at one time will determine which one you should purchase.

Apparently it provides phantom power. "Supplies 48V phantom power for condenser microphones."

I'm using FL Studio 9 for recording.

I guess you'll be fine for now then if that's all you can afford. :(
