I was messing around with some cables after hearing about unbalanced and balanced lines and so forth. I plugged 2 1/4 cables into my firebox XLR/1/4 plugs. When I went to pull them out I couldn't. After tugging for a while I managed to get one out. There's still one cable in the firebox and I can't get it out! I don't know what to do!
Another time I was unplugging a cable from my firebox and the tip didn't come with the cable so it was stuck in the firebox. I almost had a heart attack but I but the cable back in and managed to pull the tip and cable out.
Anyway, any suggestions on what to do. I could take the firebox apart but that's probably not a good idea. I'm gonna let my hand rest from trying to grip the cable.
While I have this topic, I might as well ask a question about balanced and unbalanced cabling. I have a RCA output on my amp. I use a RCA to XLR cable but I'm getting this bad very high pitched noise. The firebox has 2 TS channels in the front and 2 TRS/TS channels in the back. I was thinking a RCA to 1/4 would remove this buzz, or a dual RCA to single XLR because there are 2 RCA outs. What would be the best method with this whole balanced and unbalanced deal?
Thanks!
