C2000b vs Gt55

I have it narrowed down to these two mics which will be used primarily for vocals and acoustic guitar. Most likely I will be getting a B1 as well.

Any opinions on these two mics.

I can't comment on the GT, but the C2000B is a great mic, and truly versatile. It was the main vocal mic on the first project I ever did. It still gets used for acoustic instruments and vocals, as well as the main mic for my bluegrass band. If I could only keep 1 mic for everything, this would be it.

I can link to a sample if you'd like.

I second the sentiments of freshmattyp---a clean, versatile mic. I can't compare it to the GT55 but I can compare it to the SP B1. The C2000B has more clarity and sounds more open (and, of course, has the bass roll-off switch and 10dB pad). Definitely a "desert-island" mic.

There isn't a lot of experience here with the GT mics, and I'm in that group as well. The C2000B has served me well enough that I bought another because I wanted the pair. It is one of the most versatile inexpensive mics on the market.-Richie
