i have a chance to get a behringer c-1 for £20.i was looking to do some vocals (i don't have any mics for vox).does anyone know what their like? thanx

Pretty much entry level, do you have phantom power? MIght be a nice place to start but if you can find a Studio Projects B1 I think you will be happier

yeah i have phantom power.i bought the c-1 cuz i need to do the vox this weekend and it's all i have the money for. i have the mini dbx preamp,will that sound ok with this mic?

Sure, you'll do well just concentrate now on placement and technique. Got a lttle compressor to throw down on it?
