Buy an RCA jukebox not an iPOD!!

I just purchased a 40 GB RCA Lyra jukebox for only $299. Compared to the Apple iPod that costs $499 for 40 GB. Do the math people. The Jukebox also includes a leather case, a usb connector, driver cd, a car cassette adapter & more. Apple sells these as after market products. The iPod is over priced. You're buying the style and the name. If you want to pay more for style, get the ipod. If you're a bargin hunter, buy the RCA jukebox. It's such a great deal I might buy 2 more.

I've loaded all my songs I've made onto this little baby, as well as some loops and drum samples. Not to mention, I put about 40 cds on this thing and it hasn't blinked. Thanks RCA.

I really wanted an iPod, but was turned away because of the expense [I'm friggin' broke!], and the battery problems.
I'll be checking this one out!
 
I have the Dell DJ (20GB) model, I think it cost a bit under $300. I haven't had any problems with it. I have about 250 CDs loaded, makes car rides sooooo much better! The only thing the iPod has going, is it is somewhat slimmer, but over $100 slimmer? I think not!
 
the price alone for the ipod scared me off, the battery problems made me not look at it again and the fact that the white ear plugs tipped criminals off to what you are listening to music on so people have been getting jumped and beaten for ipods made me laugh.
 
(Trying out the quick reply thingy). That's funny about the earphones, well not really since my bro has one and always listens to it in the subway on his way to work in NYC
 
i think the white earphones are a nice gimmic but not at the risk of losing a $400 mp3 player....I'd get some sony headphones and keep truckin. I'm from north carolina so we dont have subways.....its either automobile, taxi or bus to get around town. If i had to take the subway, i would be so paranoid about getting robbed or whatnot that i wouldn't be listening to anything...i must stay alert and on the look out for bad people lol
 
Its also really helpful for managing my sample libary. Its easier than having a buch of cds or records all over the place. You can carry thousands of songs in your pocket. Technology is amazing.
