Buy a $1000 Guitar, yea right.....

You know, I can take the all the spiteful comments, and I can't respect a difference of opinion, even though I still am speaking the truth that you can buy a guitar for $200 or less and it can sound like a high end Taylor, Martin or Gulid ECT....

What I won't take Racist Comments being emailed to me by "members of this forum". If the owners of this web site and the company that hosts this server, welcome this kind of thing, then
I will pass the word around to other musicians out on the web.

I am being honest about the "cheap guitar" thing, and I did like all of the + / - comments, but these Racist Comments are really hurtful, and I think you people should really becareful because the
"100%" of the people who I know, accept people of all colors not just white..... :(

While I appreciate keeping mudslinging off the board, I found the PM to be quite hypocritical to the complaint regarding sending offensive emails.

This dude's definitely a troll.

LocusLarsen, I used "PM" as an acronym for "personal message." And, yeah, I don't remember anything racist either.
 
As I got older I found myself with more expendable cash. For a gift, the wifey purchased me a new acoustic axe of higher quality. Guess what.....

There are differences in the acoustic sound of higher quality guitars. The "expensive" guitars do sound better.

However, with that said, I can say that acoustic-electrics 10 years ago, pretty much sounded all the same. But today, even that has changed.
 
I bought my guild D17M for 400.00 used and am very happy with it and will put it up against any 1000.00 dollar acoustic anytime.
There are people on this board who have heard it live.
 
Reality check........400 used is closer to 800 new. 800 - 1000 isn't the same sizze difference as 200 - 1000.
