So my computer starts to choke every once in a while when I start putting a seperate verb or delay with the same settings (etc. pre-delay, for example) on 10+ tracks on a project.

I'm thinking, I can just set a bus up with the reverb or delay or whatever on it. Then, just send all the tracks through it. However, how can I set each track to have a different pre-delay with the verb, for example? Or can I even do this in Vegas? What other parameters are available to be changed in this fasion? any? ha.

thanks yall.

Yes, I do that all the time. It takes some of the work off the CPU and makes it easier to control fx levels as well.

As far as the pre-delay, though, that's trickier. Which version of Vegas do you have? Some fx paramaters are automatable, but I'm not sure if reverb pre-delay is one of them.

V5 at the moment, I was considering V6 but probably won't do it for a while, seeing as a lot of it is mainly video improments/dual proccessor stuff....

Can you give me a little example of how to set it up to control individual parameters depending on which track(s) i want to change it on? Is it all just automation envelopes?

Yes, but not all fx have automatable parameters. I'm not at my audio computer right now, but I could take a screen shot later and post it.

Whoops, sorry, I got sidetracked for a couple of days! Still need my input?

Not at this exact moment, but I'll be at my studio later. I just PM'd myself as a reminder!!

Don´t forget that v6 now supports VST...

Shackrock - sorry I took so long with this but....

Yes, you can automate pre-delay on reverb, but you have to use the effect as a track effect and not a buss effect. But all of the reverb parameters are automatable via envelopes, and I think you can customize the envelope colors so it doesn't get too confusing.
