Built In Recording Software

Hi everyone, I'm in a band and play drums. I'm going as a solo drummer at the end of the year and want a good software that records vocals as well as has music which you can create yourself from scratch but don't know what. I want hopefully a free software. If anyone can recommend any that would be fab and thanks

Try Reaper as a DAW and look into buying some external loop packages for your music creation needs, as you described.

Toontrack just came out with a piano software looping package (similar to their EZ Drummer) Read about it here.
