I'm getting ready to start making a pedal board for my guitar and bass guitar. I'm hoping that i can use it for both guitar and bass , since i really don't want to have to make two of them. My question is: What order should i put stuff in to get the best results? the stuff going on the board is:

Voodoo labs pedal power 2
Boss Tu -2 tuner
Dunlop - jimi hendrix wah pedal
Keeley Compressor
Analogman Boss Blues Driver BD-2
Analogman Ibanez ts 808 tube screamer
4 button switch box for my fender pro reverb amp
tech 21 Sansamp bass di box for the bass .

that's it.

i'm thinking the tuner first, blues driver, the compressor, tube screamer, wah pedal, then the bass box last. the amp control box, is only for the reverb and tremelo effects. it will stay on the clean channel all the time.

I've never had a pedal board before, and have just gotten into using different effects. So i figure i may as well make one, but i want to get them in the best order to best utilize them, and hopefully not get a bunch of noise/hiss in the process....Any ideas and suggestions will be most helpfull!! thanks,

I now have boss GT-6 pedal board for sale if anyone's interested!

ok, i'll do it for you.... does your amp have an effects loop? that will change the variation greatly.

Is this for playing live, or in the studio? Live, you want everything solid and immobile and reliable. But for recording, you want a flexible signal chain and the option to remove things easily if you're not using them.

The Loop

I never have figured out what the effects loop could do for me.

it does a lot. effects sound different when applied to either the effects loop, or straigt into the amp. sound effects like chorus and flanger, should be put in the FX loop, others like distortion and wah, should be put straight into the amp
