Building a Rack - No, the Rack Itself

It's kind of striking to see what people are charging these days for a dang bare box.

Anyone scratch-build his own rack? Any tips/plans/sites?

In some magazine , I forget which, every month they have a DIY studio stuff, I wish I could remember, but it's towards the back!

I built this out of 3/4" plywood and 1 1/2" deck screws. Not too hard to do if you can handle a SkillSaw and a screw gun.

Yes, I built the desk, the racks and the room as well. I'm way too cheep to hire someone else to do it.
