Building a desk /workstation

Has anyone IN here built a workstation ?

Something to house your mixer, outboard gear, monitor ?

I want to build something like the Synergy 600 by Omnirax or the Argosy setup for the DM-24 (the board I have)

Does this seem to be hard, I've never done it, but I'd like to save myself some dough, knowing that I can buy the wood, screws, nuts, bolts, rack rails, and still come out with a nice workstation at a cheaper price, but just as sturdy.

Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
 
My friend, there are a bunch of very recent threads on this very subject. Try a quick search. If you still have some questions, come on back. I built mine by the way for less than a quarter of those prices.
