Build one or buy one, not just a DAW though

The thought of building my own pc is very tempting, but fact is, I'm only able to have one computer, so it will be all-purpose. With this in mind, is it more sensible to build a pc or buy one pre-made? Thanks for your thouhgts.
 
I worked with Scott at advanced design KY to build a computer with the OS on a removable drive bay. For audio I write everything to the second internal disk, for home apps and web surfing I toss in the other OS disk and write all data right to a partition on that OS disk.

This was an easy way for me to keep my audio "computer" free from any viruses or other things that could lead to problems.
