Hey I know I'm on a budget but I would like to know what everyone is using for Sound Cards in thier PC's. This will really help out alot and will let me know how much I need to save.

Thanx in advance.

Soundcards range from $150 upwards of $1000's
Depends on your needs....# of ins and outs, preamps, XLR, 1/4", RCA, SPDIF, Optical.
Basic 2 in 2 out cards range from $150-$500 with and without breakout boxes.

save some cash, and then start surfin ebay! You can find alot of info on everyone's favorite cards by using the search function here.

I'm using a MOTU 2408 MKII, about $400 on ebay.

im using a Delta Audiophile ($139) but my needs are very basic and amateurish.........

you need to decide how many inputs/outputs you need....what type of inputs you need (1/4",rca,s/pdif,etc), and what sound quality you expect (demo,pro,etc).......

Went from an Audiophile to a delta 410, tried an Echo Mia for a week but put the delta 410 back (needed to sell either of the two cards). Sold the Delta 410 yesterday along with a 4x4 midisport, planned on getting a 1010LT for a couple of hours but in the end ordered another audiophile after checking my bank account.
Does that make sense? Probably not. But the audiophile will still give me the connectivity I need for the time being and M-audio cards serve me well. (And I can really use the money that I saved on not getting a 1010LT). And they sell for almost newprice in the Netherlands to people who don't know they're a lot cheaper in Germany.

To make a long story short: For $150,- you can get a mighty fine audio card.
