Hi everyone!
My trusty Fostex XR-5 is kaput and I can't seem to fix it. Now I have all these cassettes lying around, which I'd like to digitalize before they rot away. For this purpose I intend to buy a cheap second-hand cassette recorder.
What should I pay attention to? Does the recorder need to be a 4track also? What about the recording speed?
Or by any chance: Does somebody know how to fix my Fostex? My biggest problem is that the third track doesn't play anymore, but it hisses very loudly.
Thank you
