Mars had a black V67 and a 1006 known respectively as the V67B-M and the V57. There is also a version of the 1006 called V63 that is for Sam Ash, if I'm not mistaken.
My personal feelings about the mics: Pretty darn good value for the money. Especially the 2003 and the V77. I think those mics sound great. I've also gotten good mileage with the V67.

Now before you go any further, can you clear up some things about the MXL/Mars numbering system?

Which mics are the same and what's your personal feelings about the different mics?

How's that for putting you on the spot?
