I've used a BRC for a number of years now.... never even heard of that error.... did you check the FAQ at Alesis?

Divided 0 error
Some memory error makes "Divide 0 error"
Situation 1:
Somtime, an electrical noise changes a data of BRC.
At that time, you should only initiate the BRC.
For doing it, hold both REC and PLAY botton, and power on!
Situation 2:
If you have used the BRC as long time, the voltage of battery will be down.
You have to change the batterry.
Some memory error makes "Divide 0 error"
