Brauner VM1

Ok, here's the deal...

I got a car from my aunt, but I do not really need it as I already have one.
I am getting $1,900.00 from a bond soon, so Im going to buy a pre-amp with that, my question is...

My aunt was going to sell the car for around $5,500.00....so should I sell it and buy a Brauner VM1, and give her a little something as a way of saying thanks, or...is there any mic out there for the same or less that has a better sound for vocals?

Kinda sucks, I just bought a SP C1 tonight lol, but...Ive heard good things about the Brauner, and I figured Id buy the best I can.

you may want to consider a Lawson L47mp for around $2000. terrific as a vocal mic.

Well, I just got a Brauner Valvet BE and it sounds dang near as good as my VM1 KHE - but it doesn't have all those lovely polar patterns. If you're going to use it primarily as a vocal mic, save some bucks and try the Valvet. Or check out the Soundelux E47 - it's rapidly becomming my "go to" mic.

I know that if I had $5k burning a hole in my pocket, earmarked for a mic, I'd run, not walk, to my nearest BLUE dealer, and be picking up a BLUE Bottle, and at least one extra capsule. There are few mics that pro's heap praise on like the Bottle. Just that it costs $4300...
