Hello,
I'm fairly new to home recording having purchased a BR8 about a month ago. A friend has a korg 1600. It would be great to be able to hook up our recorders together so we can trade tracks.
I could put guitar parts to his tunes and he could put drum and vocal parts to mine then hook them back up to upload the new tracks. Is it possible to do this? The BR8 manual isn't very helpful. I would very much appreciate it if anyone could give many any info or point me in the right direction.
BTW, I've been hanging around this site for awhile and think it's great. Bought my first condenser mic on recommendations I've read from some of the members here (MXL 603).
Thanks, Cajunator.

The midi has nothing to do with audio recordings - it's for sending and recieving midi data which is something completely different so forget that. The BR8 has a digital output and the 1600 a digital in and out which you could use to transfer recordings from the BR8 I guess

If you have any other br8 questions i had it for a while so i can help you.

Actually the midi would come into play because you would use that to sync the 2 units together (if they do that). Then transfer the sounds through the digital I/O. That is also how you could combine the units for more tracks.
